My 67 SS originally came with standard window cranks. I want to add power windows and am not sure how to connect the window wiring harness to the original wiring harness. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

I did the switch to P/W in my 67 and you get a P/W harness that doesn't tie into the stock harness, it is a complete wiring harness that gets a ground and a power supply. I wouldn't try to make one of these harnesses. Take a look in the assembly manual for a good picture discribing the routing of the harness. It's one of the first things that gets put in a bare shell of an interior. If you can't find an old Chevelle P/W harness you could use the harness and switches from another GM car from the same era without to much trouble. Grab the switches, harness, door jam boots and everything else you'll need.

Not sure if the 67 is the same as the 66, but the power wire comes from the horn relay on a 66. I built my own wire harness and it was straight forward. The "body by Fisher" service manual has wiring diagrams. I used original equipment switches and connectors to those switches...then just installed new wiring onto them. Since I was doing an Elky, I only had 2 windows to mess with, but the process is the same. Worst part of the whole job was pulling the doors to drill the door jam holes.
