Hello all,
Im not getting any spark at the coil, and cant figure it out. I have the block grounded twice to the frame, and the coil (+) has a line going from the P side of the starter and a line going to the distributor. There is a harness with the distributor taht says to hook the green wire to the (-) side of coil, the red wire to the (+) side of the coil, and the brown wire to a block ground. I did all that and still no spark. I bought a new internal balaster coil, new wires, ect. Any ideas.

I just bought a internal balast resister coil, do you think i still need the external resistor. Also, i am not getting spark to the coil, so it'll be a while before i know if the distributor works. Thaks

My question didnt come out like i wanted it to. Can you use a external balaste resistor on a internal balast resistor coil.

If you have a coil with a built in resistor, you don't need an external resistor for the coil.
