I bought a new rear filler panel from OPG. The panel is great but is lacking the little studs for the clips that hold the chrome on. Can you buy replacement studs and weld them on?

Maybe the place that sells the clips has the studs also.

You can get replacement studs that are the self tapping type that don't require welding

Thanks Mike, Do you have any idea who sells them?
If you can't find the studs (like I couldn't at glass or body shop supply places), I used small stainless phillips head sheet metal screws. The key is getting the right size head screw to properly fit the trim clips. I kept the old panel so I could match the location and height of the old studs. I drilled pilot holes in the correct locations and used red Loc Tite on the screw threads just for insurance. Worked fine.

Get the screw on studs and weld them from the back, then install the panel.

Darren,
I'm currently preparing to replace the filler panel between the rear
window and the trunk on my 69 Chevelle. I'm a little confused as to how to
salvage and reuse the under side and the trunk seal lip. Do you have any
pics other than the ones on your web site that can help me with this. Also
any tips you could offer would be great.
Thanks,
Trooper
