I have a 70 Chevelle that is getting Vintage air. A friend`s son has a 72 Chevelle that has factory air that he wants to remove. He wants my old heater box and firewall cover. When his air unit is removed, will my stock heater, and firewall cover, swap to his car without modificatoin? And what is a fair price for these items? Thanks...

The Air and non-air cars have different sheet metal where the heater or ac box mounts. You will need to get the measurements from the ac car and modify the heater-only car to match.

J, I didnt think they would be the same, and the guy knows some modifacation will be necessary. Any idea what these things sell for? I have never seen one at a swap meet, so I have no idea. Mine is in really good shape.

AmericanGraffiti sells a box to replace the under hood AC unit and retain the AC heater box on the inside of the car.
It essentially looks like the non-AC firewall box but is larger to cover the big AC hole.
I got one, not installed yet and no pix. Box looks good.
