The fuse panel in my 65 chevelle has only 5 volts on it. I have planed on taking it apart and trying to clean it but was wandering if anyone makes an aftermarket panel? I know painless wiring dont have a bolt in you have to hard wire it in. Has anyone used one of these? I have checked with the diffrent chevelle parts sellers and you have to buy the whole underdash wiring harness to get the fuse panel and I dont need all of that.

If you only have 5v then the only connection you need to worry about is the main power lead from the bulkhead connector. Trace it back to the horn relay on the rad support. Just a thought, don't think the whole fuse block is bad, maybe just one connection.

With that little of voltage, you should have dim lights on the dash. Sounds like a connection somewhere to me too.

Depending on what you find in your wiring and connections, if you still need or want to replace the fuse panel I would suggest checking out Factory Fit. I found that they had original style replacement fuse blocks for my '68 El Camino for around $75. You will just have to migrate your wiring from the current block to the new block. On the '68 this could be done pretty easily. I just removed the dash wiring harness and laid it out on a table rather than working under the dash on my back.
