Sorry this is not a Chevelle question but I can't think of any place better to ask this question than right here!
The frame, cage and all the deck paneling on my sons IMCA modified is all powder coated purple. It would not be my first color choice but that was the color when we bought it and it is still in good shape. The body colors are all yellow now and we want to do a color change for next season. Have any of you painters noticed a color that looks good with purple?

I've seen a Plymouth Cuda purple /white combo or purple/black.Also seen a car at the drag races purple and orange.Although not my favorite color,my wife loves purple.

Thanks Ricky. I appreciate the come-back. I was thinking black or white as well. I don't like the purple but being powder coat, and the fact that it is still in good shape, we don't want to re-do it. I think I will re-post this in Bench and see if I can get some more opinions.

A knew a racer who always painted his Modified Purple. He would change from year to year the accent colors.. The best IMO were Cream with Orange and Green devider stripes He some times would paint his crash bars/rub rails a solid green or orange..

Thanks for the replies folks! As I mentioned above, I reposted it in bench and got great results. I talked it over with my son and the decision has been made. The car will be silver! graemlins/hurray.gif I went to Napa today and got some colors and I think it is going to look great.
