Hi Guys,
What do you recommend for initial/total timing on a 350 w/a tunnel ram and 450cfm x 2? It has an MSD distributor and box. There is no vaccum advance (I'm assuming there is a mechanical advance). I don't know where the timing is set at now, but motor is very responsive just reving at idle. Car isn't ready to be driven, I just wnat to get timing staright before I tinker w/carbs. This is for my bud's t-bucket (very light).
Also, what is a good plug? Right now there's splitfires in there

Hard to say what your engine will want for timing. I'd say a good place to start would be 36 deg total, all in by 3000 rpm. Maybe even 2500 rpm as the car's really light. Just pick a point to start with, and experiment from there, the engine will let you know if you've gone too far.
I like to use AC plugs. I have R45TS in my 350, and They seem to work pretty good. Much cheaper than splitfires. I tried splitfires once, but didn't notice any difference, so I decided to save my money the next time I bought plugs.... :)

What are you running as far as initial?

If I remember correctly.... I use the 20deg bushing (blue? )in my MSD, and an initial of 16 deg, which gives me a total of 36. I don't remember off the top of my head what springs I'm using, but it's the lightest or close to the lightest combination in order to gett all the timing by 3000.
