i was intalling a floor shifter(it's a column now)on my 69 big block,th400, when i pulled up the carpet, there were 2 holes in the floor ablout 12 inches from the firewall, on either side of the trans hump, about 3/4 of an inch in diameter, any idea's what it's from???????, oh yeah the car originally had a glide, thanks!!

Sounds like the car had an underdash AC unit in it at one time and those were the holes that the drain tubes ran thru. I have the same holes in my 64 and a couple of more where they ran hoses thru the firewall. If you look at the bottom of the dash you will probably find more holes where they hung the AC unit.
