I've been looking at different rebuild kits and have noticed that the AED kits have more stuff in them. Can anybody comment on the quality of these?

Vince,

I wish I could give you firsthand knowledge of their kits but I haven't bought one yet. Some folks who I have a bit of respect for in this area suggested the AED kits so I'm going to try them. I've used the Holley and BG kits in the past and the BG kits have a lot of stuff in them also but one of my last carb rebuilds using a BG kit didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. It could be my fault of course but I want to try the AED kits to see if they are worthy of the recommendation.

I'll chime in...
I went one further and bought one of there 750 HO carbs. At about the same price as a stock 750 Holley.....you bet better flow and performance out of it!! All surfaces are milled along with the choke horn, they use nylon gaskets throughout, and down leg boosters. They even bench test them!!!
So.....yeah...I would go with the AED rebuild kit.....they even have a tech line and email for any help.

Here is a couple of examples. I like the pro kit cause it comes w/new hardware.

Just got the AED rebuild kit. I noticed that the needle/seat adjusting nut and lock screws come with nylon washers, as do the bowl screws. Are these decent? Looks like something from the Home Depot hardware section.

Also, the mixture screws come w/little o-rings instead of the cork inserts - WHATS UP WITH THAT!

I've used both kits(Holley & AED) many times. They both work just fine. The AED kits usually comes with all new screws for everything, where as Holley doesn't.AED uses different material for some of there seals, but it still works the same.
