My computer crashed and I lost a number of "basics". I had saved 99% of them to disc and I have found all the others on the web here and there, but this one I just can't find.

It's subject is "Blending tips" and how you have to completly cover the adjacent panel with your new color and not just "think" it is covered with a coat or two because the original color is already there.
Anyway, if anyone has it I would like to have a copy.
Thanks, Brian

I think I've taken all of your "basics", copied them to a Word Document, AND converted the document to an acrobat pdf .... I'll look and see if it's in there. If you want I can e-mail both of them to you, just let me know ...

Just a quick "Copy and paste" and post it here or email it to me would be great. Thanks a bunch. :D

Brian,

If memory serves, a while back you were thinking about writing a book based on your Basics series. Are you planning on going ahead with it? I think it would be a benefit to anyone restoring a classic. Even if they don't do the work themselves, it's a great reference to learn about how the Pro's do it.

Thanks for all the free advice.

Bill

Thanks for all the free advice. Bill Bill, after approching a number of publishers with the idea and being rejected, I lost a little steam. smile.gif But I plan on getting to it and then publishing it myself to get it done. The publishers all want a big name so they can put it on the cover and sell another book like all the rest. smile.gif

MARTINSR send a copy out to the jokers at some of the mags and TV shows. Also post it here and other web sites for sale. You do have great rep here and on other boards I,ve seen your postings.

I would definitly be one to pick up a copy if it did become a book, even if it were just an ebook it would be worth buying.

You know the funny part, there is a web site that has it all in PDF format! He asked me if he could put it on his web site, I said ok and now it is there in PDF. I don't know if he has all of them, this was actually done a while ago.

MARTINSR,
Do you have the website address. Sounds like something I would like to check out.

I have no web site of my own but Team Chevelles sister site Team Camaro has most of the "Basics of Basics" in a collection, Click here (http://www.camaros.net/forum/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=005647) ;)
