their fender SS emblems any other color that white? My 71 is Torch Red with black stripes. There is nothing on the car that is white, so I thought I would paint them Black. Any thoughts?

My brothers 68 SS had 427 emblems, and my dad painted the "SS" grill emblem insert a bright yellow... Stood out from the blacked out grill a little more than white...

After spending 4 hours stripping the white paint from the emblems, I have decided to leave the chrome. I think they will look a little different but still match the "overall" look of the car. There is pretty much nothing stock on this thing.
Thanks for the thoughts.

To those who have repainted theirs...
How did you do it? Did you use a small brush, like an artist's brush? Do you clear them afterwards?

I used Testors white paint and a fine tipped paint brush. It worked for me and it's still holding up good after a year and a half. Just take your time.
