ready to bolt back in my front seat on my 70 chevelle now do i put a little cut in the rug then put the seat legs thru? or do i just put the seat on top of the carpet and bolt it down? thanks storm

Yes...Put a little cut in the rug. Some folks call it a T cut and it runs under the seat brackets, Then you can fold in place nicely. Don't forget to slid the seat brackets under the carpet.

I just put the bolts through the carpet on my front seats. No wonder they were such a pain!
