I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me how many 71 400 BB Malibu conv. were made and how many of them were made in the LOS plant.

I know that there were only a total of 5089 71 convertibles made but I was looking for someone that might have a better break down of them.

Not many, according to Dan Carr's poster. He estimated a total of 50 big block Malibu non-SS convertibles in 1971, 15 with a standard trans and 35 automatics.

With the options this car has like P disc brakes, F41, 12 bolt, Auto, buckets with console, P top and other creature comforts it is one of very few.

I just looked at your link of the pic’s of your car. Wow very nice. I like the interior color and the way you did the rear speakers. How did you mount them? They put round ones in mine before I got it. Great looking car. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
