What do yall think a 1971 basket case Chevelle SS clone would be worth? I need a frame and on a quick inspection it's allright. This car also has a 12 bolt rearend. It has a Pontiac engine of some sort in it and a dissasembeled 350 that goes too. The front cap came from a SS but the cowl hood is bent. The rear SS bumper is in good shape but would need replated. This car is owned by an elderly lady who insists the car is a true SS but the Malibu dash and trim tag 13637R54221 say otherwise don't they?

Please forgive me, been on night shift the last 4 days and I just don't sleep well in the day time. She is asking 1500. Thanks and I'll try and stay awake.

$1500 for a frame and a rear end is on the upper end of about right. Sounds like you may be able to part it out and recover pretty much the rest.

An SS should have front disc brakes. If they are still there that's 200-300 bucks in parts.

Are you sure the frame is good? That would be the kicker. Oh, pop the cover on the rear. A Buick-Olds-Pontiac rear will bolt up, and have 12 bolts on the rear cover, but have 10 bolts in the ring gear.

In my opinion anyway.

Well I talked with her last night and she said she had allready sold it. Must have went cheap too because she told me she really wished she had got my phone call earlier. Nuts!!!!
