A friend of mine that is on a road trip just called me and told me that he found what looks like a 67 or 68 firebird on a lost place.

He mailed me some pics, here they are, the guy is asking for 3000 usd.

What do you guys think?

Hmmm...it looks like a 67 to me. Just those tail light trow me off. There is a 67 Firebird in the garage right now. I love those things.

They are not, as far as I know. But I am just learning about Firebirds.

The tail lights look like a 67 or 8 camaro tail light. They had to modify the tail panel to get them in. Here is an auction of a nice 68 on Ebay. You'd be money ahead just topay the buy-it-now.

1967 for sure. Vent windows and no side markers are a dead give away. Could it be a Firebird nose on a Camaro?

Yep, those are 67/68 Camaro tails. The car looks complete, but has seen better days. It would be worth the 3k if it had the fold down rear seat, and etched door glass. Then again.. the plain jane "chickens" aren't dropping in value either.

Looks like someone was confused, it has 67 camaro tail lights, 67 camaro console, and camaro floor mats..like the GTO grab bar too ;) If the car isnt rusty then I dont think it is too bad, needs to be gone over but I would say around $2000, more if there are disk brakes, 12 bolt, or other "good" parts. I picked up a very solid 68 bird convertible, factory 4 speed car, less engine for $1500. I got lucky on that one!

I think it is an attempt to meld a Firebird and Camaro, it looks like a chevy engine to me.

I don't know if it is still there, but there was a 67 sitting in a barn at the place where I purchased a wheel/tire for my trailer last summer. The guy asked me if I interested in buying it, I wasn't so we didn't talk price.
