I want to hook up my new heater core correctly. It has one big tube and one small. Of the two hoses (water pump and intake manifold), where should they go? And I heard there is a restrictor that can be installed to avoid damaging heater cores-true? Thank you. Erik.

The (3/4) large hose goes to the water pump, the (5/8) small hose goes to the intake. That's how mine is and I have a small block 350.
