OH MY GOD!!!!

I finally got my car finished up (odds and ends tied up) this weekend and I took the 'velle out for my first test drive since i wrecked it in May 4, 2000. It was awesome!

I'm sure everyone here has had that one experience that you just cant put words together to explain it, but it just happened to me yesterday!!!! Pics of the car are in my signature.

I bet you were shaking a little bit?? I know I was the first time I took'er out after my resto !!!!

Congrats.....car looks good. graemlins/thumbsup.gif I kinda like that modern "malibu" on the front fenders. Wheels look good, too.

I am now green with envy...sometimes I think I am getting alot done but when I read posts like this it seems too slow!

I was a little unsure about the malibu emblems at first but once I got them on, I really like them. They are the trunk emblem from a 2001 Malibu.

The admirer in the back is my wife, she had never ridden in a old car before and she was screaming when I trompped it and she went sideways.

Nice 68!! Drive it as often as possible and enjoy.

The "new" Malibu trunk emblems have been my plan for awhile now. Thought I was being original, but... dang it!

Very nice looking car, looks good with the emblems and the wheels. What wheels do you have on there? Those back one's would look good in a deeper dish, I think. How long did it take you to get it back together? You should post some pix over in the BENCH RACING forum too.

Thanks guys, the emblems have been a little secret I've had for awhile, I didnt think anyone here would like them! Surprise!

The wheels are Edelbrock 409s, I love'em, (not TTIIs). I have been reassembling for the past year, gathering parts and discovering what I didnt think of, what doesnt work, etc.....
