When I hit bumps, this is the only thing that rattles and it gets irritating. Is there supposed to be some kind of sealant underneath it that keeps it in place besides the four bolts? Right now there isn't, and that might be the problem. What was used originally and what should I use?

Hi Shawn long time no chat, http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Anyways, I used the four orginal bolts that hold down the panel as well as 3M All Around Autobody Sealant to keep water out and keep the panel down. I did it this way on my El Camino and my uncle also did it this exact way on his 1972 El Camino when he redid his a couple years back after I did mine. The original stuff was sort of like a brown color on the outside and like a burnt orange color on the inside. It was originally put on any support or part of the bed that made contact with the panel when it was in place.
