: VERY Slow Tailgate Window

My '67 Wagon has an electric rear taigate window. It is vary slow both raising and lowering. I'm sure the regulator and window tracks need lubricated.
I'm concerned about the electric motor and/or the wiring also.
Has anyone had any experience with their own wagons? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Clean it and lube it first, some do slow down at first then burn up because of it.

After lubing it up, you may want to double check all the electrical connections, especially the grounds. I'm not certain but I would think that the ground wire would "come out" of the tailgate, through the harness and connect to the frame.

Tim,

Just an "out of left field possibility" but my 68 Z/28 has power windows and when my alternator was putting out low voltage, the windows went up and down much slower then now that I have the alternator fixed. Seems normal to me now. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Note: The slow windows were not what sent me looking for a bad alternator but a battery that kept coming up dead especially when running with lights at night. But, it did explain the reluctance of the windows even more when the lights were on.
