Hey Guys
I've got this Canadian #s matching 64 4dr wagon
L77 package with posi rear end. Pretty much loaded with options .The car is complete but needs a restoration (rusty) rear quarters and wagon deck needs replacing (acid was spilled on it).It runs beautifully with 42000 original miles.Interior is good all the chrome is there.GM Canada send me back the info being 320 of that model(5635) produced but only 11 with the L77 and only 3 with the posi rear. I am guessing this makes it a 1 of 3 for this year (seems rare?)In my search for a welder and body man word has kind of got out about the car here locally and a couple of people have asked to buy it.I am not trying to win the lotto here or anything but realistically the car may cost me more than i can afford to do.Can anybody tell me what is it worth i just don't want to be one of those guys who let a treasure? get away for nothing simply because of not being informed of car value.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It would be kind of hard to place a value on that particular car. Sometimes rarity is a major factor in car prices, sometimes not. In the case of your wagon, I don't think it makes that much difference because there isn't that much of a demand for your type of vehicle, and most people who buy them use them for drivers not concours restorations. The biggest value factor will be condition. I have seen really nice four door 64/65/66 wagons go for as much as 15K american on ebay, but they were pretty much finished restorations. A good running low mileage wagon like yours that needs restoration might bring 3-5 thousand. Follow Ebay and pick up a copy of Hemmings Motor News; it may help you set a better value.
