Playing with a 65 Chevelle 300 deluxe, finding it hard to locate the side trim. The car is a 4 door sedan that I would like to keep the stock looks. Anybody know where I can locate these pieces? Are they available in repro? all I come across is Malibu trim.

The pieces are not available in repro. Your best bet would unfortunately be E bay. Do a search for NOS MALIBU and N.O.S. Chevelle. You may have to spend some time waiting for the right pieces to come along, and you will have to be a determined bidder. I scored a complete set of Nos bodyside mouldings for my wagon. It took about six months to get all of the pieces.

I did a lot of looking for side moldings for my 69 300 deluxe. I finally found the part number in an assembly manual and emailed about 10 different places to see if they had it I dont remember who all I mailed but Chicago auto parts (or something close to that) had 3 of the pieces, I needed 2. They were NOS still wrapped up with fasteners too. Do a search and see if you can find it, It is probably a long shot but it will at least give you somewhere too start looking. When I have time I will try too dig up his email if you dont find it.
