The SS style hood is a commonly reproduced part that can be gotten in either steel or fiberglass from pretty much any chevelle parts supplier. Check our sponsor Ground UP, Ausley's, Classic Industries...you name it. That particular style hood is available with or without the "flapper door" (which requires a whole bunch of additional parts) and fits ANY '70-'72 Chevelle model including 4-doors, Station Wagons, and El Caminos.

I am looking to put the ss style hood ... 1970 4 door Hey,

A 2-door hood is the same thing. Buy a SS hood without the flapper. You wouldn't afford the parts for a real working cowl induction hood. It wouldn't work on your motor anyways.

Call me. You still have my number? I know a guy in town who put one on a 71 he fixed up. I can ask him where he ordered it from. It looks good with a stripe.

What you don't want to do is order something up from the States. You wouldn't believe the disappointments paying the extra customs fees. (I'm not allowed to talk about it here). But there are plenty of sources in Canada, who have to follow Canadian consumer laws (!) And you might have a "chance" of returning a part too. "A chance".

If you are not in a hurry, we'll talk when I arrive in July. You might talk to the nice folks at Hickman Motors. Better still, Terra Nova Motors - they are smaller and might pay attention to you. Even better, go out to Carbonear and talk to them. Smaller the place, the more friendly they are - hungry for business and all - maybe. I've been lucky enough to find a local Chev dealer here who found me good parts. Sure you will pay, but don't expect to save $ ordering from the States. If you do insist, I have had honest, reputable dealings with http://1964-77chevelleparts.com/
