Hello, my name is Matt and I'm also new to this wagon thing. I picked up a 64 four door malibu wagon that's mechanically sound,but requires body work. I've found this forum helpful thanks. I was wondering, how easy is it to get parts? The one spot I'm worried about is under the rear windows, it's pretty rusted. Just wanted to say at first wagons did not interest me, but the more I looked the cooler they became. Again thanks for the help.

Body parts are difficult to get because no parts are being reproduced for the wagons. The 64/65 cars are even harder because they don't reproduce the front clip. Your best bet is to find a donor car or fab up the piece. The rust spot under the window is a common problem. Can you repair it with a piece of steel and some filler?

Thanks for the info. I have not really started my project yet so I really don't know how bad the corrosion is, but it is pretty bad around the spot welds on the left side. I did read your reply to Highlander on parts interchange which also gives me a place to start. If you have any other tips on what to look out for I'll gladly take them,thanks.
