I installed this fan on my wagon awhile back. I had to go to the store the other day, and it was pretty hot outside, around 86 F. I sat at a long red light with the A/C on and the beast held steady at 180. I think this is great. The fan is doing a good job. When I'm moving it does even better. My tranny temp is around 170-175, when I'm moving it goes down a bit also. I am running my old trucks four core rad., condensor coil about 4" infront of it and then the b&m race cooler a couple of inches in front ot it. The tranny lines are also ran thru the rad. I got fittings from the speed shop so i could run the 6an line to the rad. Oh Well, see ya'll

Yep, just like joe said. I got it at the junkyard for just under 20 bucks. If anyone decides to try this, go ahead and get the harness with the relays whike your at it. You will also need a bigger alternator. The fan draws some pretty good amps on start up but settles down to around 25-30 amps. A lot of stuff on the net says to use an 80 amp slo-blo. I am using a 60 amp fuse. This fan is also two speed. I am not quite done with my fan project. I have it connected to a switch thru a relay at the moment. When I finish one day I will have have it two speed capable, and I will have it come on automatically by temperature, but rather than use those chessey switches you put thru the radiator, I am going to get one that will thread into the intake. It will be more durable i think. I will also have able to come on manually also in case of tstat failure. The shroud fits the radiator pretty good, even though the truck radiator is taller than a chevelle rad. I used insulating foam around the edges where needed. Oh well I'm going on again, this pain medicine causes me to be really talkative. If anyone has a question just ask.
