My wife and I are looking for 65-72 Chevelle wagon and I’m having a hard time finding one that is not to far gone or out of our price range. I was hoping maybe one of you guys that have wagons may know of one for sale.

I have a nice 4 bolt 350 /TH350/3.73 12 bolt drivetrain ready to go so, A nice straight body without engine or tranny would be great.
How bout it? You guys have any leads one?

My wife has a video production company and wants to build a wagon with her graphics on is as her business ride. She already has visions of Cortez Silver, lowered a hair, with rally wheels and maybe some SS badges and a cowl hood on it.

Trades for her ’79 Z28 with all original numbers matching 350, 4 speed, 3.73 posi rear with A/C could be considered. The engine has just been rebuilt with Vortec heads added and runs great. Some pics of it here:

1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE Four door, two seat wagon runs and drives; Good restoration project. Veh would need paint and interior work. Current registration. #xxxxxxx $1,295, Car runs and drives, has 350/T-350 engine, needs windshield to be street legal. Some rust in the usual 34 year old car locations (possibly has been in California all its life). THIS VEH IS BASICALLY A RESTORATION PROJECT. 909-794-1595

Thanks guys,
We have followed up on most of these leads. It looks like we may need to sell the Z28 before we can afford to build a wagon but that should'nt take to long.
Thanks for all the replies esp. the Caprice gearhead. We are both really liking that car!

OK, looks like we've bought a wagon! Its not a Chevelle, but it is a GM A-body. A 68 Pontiac Tempest wagon (I think that's an A-Body). We're planning to make it look like a GTO wagon. Should turn out pretty nice.

Thanks again for all the offers and help!

Cool! I love the big chrome Tempest/LeMans divided grill. A friend of mine, since 7th grade, has been doing GTOs all his life. He currently has a '68 coupe(body-colored endura bumper). Pretty sweet cars. Only thing that'd make 'em better is a GM family motor transplant from Poncho to Rat...just kiddin'. Good luck. :D
