Is it a challenge to apply side stripes on a 69 ss? I have a light blue metallic 69 and think it would look awesome with the SS stripes.
Should i go black or white? AND can i do it myself?

Definitely go black so the stripe can be seen.

As far as DIY, it could be a challenge. I personally would not try it myself, having never done it before.

I just laided em out and had em painted on the wifes wagon. See pics under 'Our Cars' below. I used the basic pattern for the 70SS stripes and then hand taped the hood and let the paint fly. They look awsome.

Definitely black stripes! We'll be putting them on my '69 in a couple months.

Just in case, i was referring to the side stripes that run straight back from the fender to rear quarter... but definately black huh?

Interior is freeshly-done black.

personally I plan on doing something with a marble look. Black and blue marble would look killer. I may go with stripes down the hood not sure but I know I want to be different but nice looking. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Black on blue looks great. the side stripe on a 69 is a must imho :D
