Do you think our wagons will ever be worth that much money?

Cool old barge. I knew a guy that restored a '47 Chrysler Town & Country convertible. He spent a lot just on the woodwork alone, with a Swedish shipbuilder commisioned to do all the wood. The car was awesome when completed. Another friend had a '47 Chevy sedan delivery that he was restoring, but he sold it in a hurry to buy a '55 Chevy 210 Handyman wagon (2-door) from the original owner, a little old lady in Washington State. It had original paint and everything. That was back in '75. He still has the car and it has been restored, except he dumped the old Blue Flame six in favour of a 327 with sixties speed equipment (triple Stromberg 97s with chrome army hat air cleaners).
If a wagon is done right it can bring in some dough, but it has to be one that people want (tri-5 Nomad, JimN's '65 ;) Chuck's customized '66 2-door wagon or any other 2-door wagon). Last year I bought a VW Passat wagon with a 4-cam V6, 5-speed manual, and everything including big alloys & leather. My only fear with a Chevelle or Beaumont wagon is getting the specific parts, although I understand some stuff is becoming available.

I've been offered a decent Red/Red 64 four door wagon that has a 327 w/headers,Flowmasters,TH350 trans, front disc brakes w/dropped spindles, sway bars, factory air (needs work),very little rust to speak of,seats a little rough, etc for around $3500. What do you guys think about the price? Too high? Too low?

I think the price is low to about right if the body is nice. Keep in mind that interior pieces like the cargo area are going to require custom upholstery which gets expensive.
