Does anyone else have a rear speaker in a 64-67 wagon? There is a magnet clearance problem if you have one mounted on the passenger side panel.

JimN, do you have any photos of your wagon's interior yet?

I haven't taken any interior pictures yet. I am trying to borrow a digital camera. The original multiplex setup for 1965 only had one speaker in the front and one in the rear for the left and right channels. The multiplex adapter had 3 controls: volume, tone and balance (no front/rear fader). They may have changed that late in the year when they started using the kick panel speakers and the front/rear fader multiplexer. My car only had one rear speaker, which is long gone. It was mounted on the passenger side behind the wheel housing facing up. Now I have the fader multiplexer and I am trying to decide where to place the 2 rear speakers. For the time being I just have two speakers in cabinets in the rear area of the car. There is an area next to the rear seats where there are small upholstered panels that could be removed to house a set of speakers. I am pretty sure that the factory speaker would be in the passenger side location mentioned above and on the drivers side mounted above the wheel well. Let me know what you come up with.
