i need a good 68 or 69 4 door hardtop (no posts) to cut up. i am considering cuttig out the post nd welding in the 4 dr post. the 68-89 doors should fit right in. the only problem is that te foor line is different so i need to cut of the drip rails and weld in the 4 dr roof line t get the windows to seal. i already am using a boxed frame and i think it would be so cool to have a 4 door wagon with no posts! any donors out there?

There is a guy posting in the 69 parts. a 69 4 door for sale. in KY. I know him. He just got rid of a 68 I got for him. His name is mike. Not sure what he'll want for it. HE priced the entire front clip minus bumper to me for 450 yesterday.

thanks, i'll check into it. he does not say if they are hard top or sedan.
drptop70ss, would you be interested in cutting out the posts around the floor and possably about 2 inches above the drip edge of the roof line maybe?
pete
the more i think about it the more i like the idea of a hardtop wagon. it would be a SS for Sport Sedan. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
i wonder if my rear door power window stuff will work on the hard top doors?

If you do that, you would HAVE to make the rear doors suicide doors..that would be too cool! I will look at the body as far as cutting, but would rather sell the gutted body shell and doors. With cold weather here I wont be doing much outdoor work, and this one is outside.
