Absolutely. The SS454 was an option package only and in 1973 it was available on any body including the wagon. Now, that fact doesn't mean this particular car is legit, but it certainly could be. It says it's documented so that's a positive thing.

Yep ! It's real. I've seen it, and the build sheet. He's had it for a couple of years now. I think it had COPO on the build sheet. He told me last week it was in the process of restoration.

 Asking $29,900!!! Oh, I see, its offered by a dealer...

Its cool (in an ugly, 70's, low-performance kind of way), but $30K cool? IMO, no way... I think they are trying to equate "Rare" with "Desirable"

Documented with 75,000 miles, but they didn't mention if it had the original engine, etc.

Probably gonna be a tough sell at that price. You'd be virtually guaranteed of having a "one of one" vehicle, though smile.gif

For that kind of money I'd expect the front bumper to be on straight.

And yeah, what Tony said It ain't $30K cool.

If memory serves me, there was an orange one in Oregon on ebay about 2 years ago for around $2,000 and it didn't sell. At least not on the auction I saw.
It needed a lot of help.

The 4-speeds weren't offered on the wagons after '72, but before the days of CAFE you could probably get one factory built if you got the zone office involved. I like it! The '73s were generally crappy runners though, but that can be fixed ;)
That car has got Buick Century door panels, and for that price I would expect that 'Just Dashes' would have already done something about the astroturf on the dash top. They should also throw in a complete set of Turbine I wheels for it to be correct; they're a bit tough to find now.

I've only seen 1 in person, and that was 20 years ago in Atlanta.

Hey, my daily driver is a new Passat wagon with a V6 and a manual tranny, so you can see why I'd be attracted to that Chevelle. I'll bet it only gets 10 mpg all the time though.
