Can anyone tell me the correct color combos on a 66 Chevelle, show cars seem to vary from outside car color to gloss black. Eastwood sells underhood black semi-gloss
that I plan to use on the inner wheel wells,
would this be correct for the fire wall or would it have been outside car color ?

Joe - just a couple of thoughts.
The Eastwood Underhood Black is great paint and I've used it for years, including inner fenders. If that is to be used on the inner fenders, you should have a "flatter" black to use on the firewall and a "glossier" black to use on the heater box. That represents three different "gloss" types.
Hope this helps.

Unless your car is Canadian built, you should not have any body color inside the engine compartment, except an oh so slight overspray at top edge of firewall.
The Firewall is an eggshell black...EW's Underhood black will work for you. Radiator is High Gloss Black ( EW will do good job) Radiator support is Satin Black, wheel wells in front Satin Black, Underside of hood is Satin Black Steering box is Natural and as Don said, Heater Box is High Gloss Black like the Radiator. the list goes on and on....
