Anybody have a better technique to square and straighten ribs in the bed floor
Ive been going with profile gauge than transfer to putty spreader etc?????????

i keep watching this spot because i am very interested in finding a good answer to that one myself. hopefully some body shop guru will pop in and enlighten us soon.

I also cut the profile into a filler spreader, and found a long board for sanding that was just the right width to fit in the channels.

Mine had one dent that looked like someone dropped a big block from about 10' . Had to remove the gas tank and heat/shrink the spot to get the area good enough to fill!!!

I just went through this on my 67. Not a fun job. Had body off frame so 1st step was to use a floor jack to raise the low spots along with heavy hammer and dolly work. Took some spare alum. and made a custom narrower shoe for my air long board to fit inside the ribs. Tapered the sides and used self-adhesive paper that takes care of the sides of the rib. Glued some heavy rubber to the bottom,BTW.It did go faster than I 1st thought.

Ps I found front ( back below window) to be a real pain in the butt and the back many hours invested
