I was having a hard time trying to figure out where to put some 6 x 9 speakers. So I put them here http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/71350ss/elkyspeakers.JPG This was simple to do and they're not noticable or in the way.I still have to cover this with either black speaker box cloth or some black vinyl to match the seats. Not trying to win any DB contests but it sounds OK.

Looks nice I clean. I don't see any screws across the top. Is it attached, or just resting there. And what did you screw into at the bottom? I think I'd like to give this a shot for mine.

got with a 10 inch Bazzoka tube and run a 150 watt amp. I have this tube behind the seat of my el camino. You won't even know it's there. Saves tons of space the the bass is incredible! http://www.hotboatpics.com/pics/data/500/4463MVC-591F.JPG

Skip,
This was real simple.I first made a cardboard template then transfered it to some Masonite from home depot.I found that to get it closer to the outsides I had to cut it down the center. The bottom is screwed into that horizontal brace that runs across the back panel (visable in Michaels pic) and the top is just jammed up under the forward part of the top panel with some stickon foam wrapped around it.(Your right you can,t see it) I took those red face plates that come with Sony explodes and sprayed them semi gloss black so they don,t stand out.I still need to get something to cover the panels and get some sound deadener on the back panel.
Hey Rick and Mike, you don't crank those systems up while your sitting in there do ya?Ouch. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Sounds simple enough. For what it's worth...I've always thought when I recarpet my interior I'd just get extra and run it up the back of the cab. Your install plan kinda settles that for me. I'll use carpet to cover up that panel and find as close a match as I can in a rattle can to spray the speaker grills to match. And Michael, as a side, I'm a guitar player so mid range holds more importance for me. I like to get my bass from my exhaust pipes. graemlins/thumbsup.gif How's the lake level down in Havasu? It's brutally low upstream at Mead.
