Guys I am looking for a supplier of a bed cover for my 67 Elky preferably a fiberglas type that locks. If I can't find a hard cover then I would look at a soft cover. Anybody got a reference or vendor I could contact? One fella told me he could get me a hard cover for about $1000 which seems a little stiff. I like to lock up stuff in the bed and since I sold my 93 454SS pickup to buy the 67 I need to figure a way to nicely install a bed cover with out mangling the bed. A few screw or bolt holes would be OK.
I am also considering a trailer hitch to be installed but if it is like my 70 SS El Camino a few years ago, nobody has a class three hitch so I had to have one fabricated. Any suggestions welcome.

Try Gaylords Lids (http://www.gaylordslids.com/) I don't know if they make one for your application, but I love the fit and finish on the one I installed on my 87.

If I hada Elky, I'd look into a Pace-Edwards (locking) retractable cover ...

The former owner of my 69 installed a leather tonneau cover on the bed with all the drilled snaps,,definitely something I would not recommend.
My car is painted Burgundy Metallic and I'm interested in a flush-fit Gaylord bed lid painted a Light Grey for contrast. Guess I need to get a price quote from one of their dealers.

I love the look! Almost as sexy as a good lookin woman in nylons and a garter belt! :D
A hard cover is a pain to take off, I can unsnap my soft cover, throw it behind the seat and put awkward size stuff(oversize cooler or two)in back and be on my way in a flash!
