you know in the back right against the wall underneath the rear glass. i dont know about 3rd gen elcos but 64-67 have a little hatch or something under the bed. it has about 15 screws holding the bed to the frame. ive seen people make this into boxes where they can store stuff. im going to put a nos system in it once i get some money. i was just wondering if anybody has any measurments. and how hard it is to enclose

I plan on doing something similar to this (http://www.midwestchevelles.com/past_shows/mw2002/misc/p001451.jpg) to mine. Looks like the perfect spot for a new Optima battery. All 2nd and 3rd gen El Camino's have a "smuggler's box". Not sure about the other years. Just remove the screws and the panel should pull right up unless someone has put some sealer on the seam.
