Chad, A while back I thought you had a posting on replacing or fabing metal in on the section below the wiper area on your El Camino ? I tryed to do a search on this and couldnt come up with it. I thought that you had said something like Too Swiss for me, or something of that nature. Could you please post that article again and post pics. if any ? Thanks,Mark ----------------------------------------1968 Chevelle Malibu --1968 El Camino

It doesn't ring a bell. I replaced a few square inches of one spot with 22-gauge sheet metal, and filled in a few smaller spots with "All Metal" filler. I also had the windshield removed and did the same thing there.

I didn't shoot pics when I was doing that. As far as explaining how I did it, it's just a matter of cutting out the rust and welding in new metal. Fortunately, it wasn't in a very curvy area.

I still have a small leak somewhere under the cowl vent on the driver's side. I'll have to remove the fenders and cut into it to fix that.

I sure don't remember saying that anything was "too Swiss".
