The ElCamino web site had a calendar contest and mine was selected for the month of Feb. Then the company that printed the calendars used the same picture for the shirts. Kinda wild seeing my own car on those shirts.

John graemlins/clonk.gif Exactly:

1. The picture MUST reside somewhere on the Internet that can be reached by anyone,NOT just your computer and NOT with some host that requires anyone to log in.
2. You need the entire URL to the photo itself, not so some host's address that allows you to click on a link to find a picture.
3. The correct code to insert the picture is (almost) as follows:

[ img ]http://www.mypicturehost.com/mypicture.jpg[ /img ]

Here's the 'almost' stuff.
First: Substitute your picture's URL (web address) for the 'http://www.mypicturehost.com/mypicture.jpg' portion. For example, the URL to the first photo I have listed is 'http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/396guy/elky1.jpg' where 'http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/396guy/' is the photo's location and 'elky1.jpg' is the name of the photo.
Second: Don't put spaces between the left brace [ and right brace ] and the 'img' and '/img' text.

Like you forum name too! The tires are a Hoosier 14.50 X 28 Quick Time Pros. (DOT Slicks) I like the stance for the street but I let some air out of the "bags" if I want it to really hook up.

Car came with tilt steering, A/C, disc brakes, buckets, console, deluxe seat belts, T-400, gauges w/tach and vinyl top. Previous owner changed vinyl top color to white which was not a color offered in 67 on Elky's. He also changed gold interior to bright blue which I like with the original white color of the car. Other than interior color and vinyl top the car appears all original. Numbers match as far as I can tell. Came with original carb off the car but we rebuilt it and it still did not work so I had to put a new Eldebrock 850 with electric choke on it.

When 396/325 was rebuilt a mild Comp cam was installed about 10 years ago so I am having vacuum problems with the brakes. May have to put a vacuum pump on the car to maintain vacuum for power brakes to work. Car was built for california so it has smog pump equipment on it though it is disconnected.

All in all it is nicely equipped and was nicely maintained. Has 140K on it as far as I can tell.
Just completely rebuilt the front end including new ball joints, bushings, tie rods and bushings in the rear.

Car has a few rust bubbles at the edge of the vinyl top. I am going to take of the top and probably leave it off as I don't really like the looks of the black vinyl top on a 67 Elky. There is not enough mass in the design of the cab to justify a vinyl top in my opinion. Sort of looks "skinny".

Does anyone know if the Chevrolet emblem on the top of the front grill of 1967 Malibu's was also on Elky's ordered with 396 engine? I have seen small block Elky's with the emblem but not big block's. Wonder if the big blocks had the SS grill without the SS on it?

http://72ss454elcamino.com/2ndgen_1.htm There are no links from the thumbnails to the original photos. However (with IE6 anyway), if you right-click on the photo, select "Properties", copy the address and paste it into the Address line on the browser and remove the _t at the end of the photo name, it'll show the picture in full size.

For example, for http://72ss454elcamino.com/Arta%20elky_t.jpg delete the _t from the address and use http://72ss454elcamino.com/Arta%20elky.jpg FWIW, the %20 is what's displayed when you use a space character in a file name.
