Does anyone know for sure if a rearend from a 69 chevelle (308 limited slip) will fit perfect and bolt right up to a 68 El Camino ?? Thanks,Mark --------------------------------------1968 Chevelle Malibu (Weekend Cruiser) 1968 El Camino (Daily Driver)

Yep, it's the same rearend. Nothing different between the Chevelle and El Camino on the rearend for those years.

Thanks Chad Landry, For answering that question for me. Chad didnt you have to repair the area under your front windshield at the bottom ? I thought I saw that on a posting once. Could you explain how you fixed that area on your Elky again ? Could you post some pics.up or email me some pics. of before and after ? I would appreciate it very much. My 68 El Camino that I just got a few weeks ago was a southwestern car all its life. It has a nice super straight body on it and never had any replacement panels on it. But the section under the front windshield has a little putty in it and several holes. I thought I would get and cut out that section from a 68 or 69 Malibu donar car that I know of in the salvage yard. I cant wait to drive this Elky, its gonna be so much fun.
