I took my Sprint (the green one) last year.
Not going this year. Maybe next year.

But here is an idea. They need to do something to get more El Caminos to attend Chevellabration. Last year there were 400+ Chevelles but only 10 or so El Caminos.

Every year there is a featured car model at the show. Last year it was LS6 Chevelles. this year it is the '71-'72 Heavy Chevy cars.

Next year (Hey Chuck, if you're listening) maybe the featured car could be (original) big-block El Caminos or some other El Camino (and/or Sprint) feature.

I've been trying to make it to Chevellabration for the last 4 years. For one reason or another, I haven't been able to make it including this year. I'm looking at attending the ACES regional event in Kansas in August. So far it's a go.

Does an EX-Elky owner count? ;)
If so, I'll be there.

I'm actually thinking about going next year. The car should be driveable by this fall or so, and fully finished (interior and trim) by spring, so it's a possibility. I'll have to see what shipping will cost to TN, might chance driving from CA if it has no issues, which it shouldn't. Might just be the trip I need to take. Either that or ship the bike and ride. ;) I do remember, Chuck said if I make it, he'd do a feature on the car. Should at least make the long distance award. :D

Gotta get to updating my website in my sig, I'm almost ready for paint, and the disc brake 9" is ready to bolt in. Trans is fresh, got my clutch and blowbell. Now if I just had more hours in the day...

I've attended CB for the last three years, but won't be able to make it this year. I agree that the El Camino attendance is very low.

I was there in '02. Haven't yet been able to return. Maybe next year.

One thing I remember from '02 was that they had too big a field set aside for El Caminos. So the 68-72's were about 60 yards away from the 64-67's. There was also a wide separation between modifieds and originals. It would have looked better if they were at least within shouting distance of one another.

last year there was indeed a smaller area for the ElCaminos, and I believe we had about 15. We were all parked together, without that seperation you mentioned from the previous year.
The whole show moved to the other side of the park.
