I have a 64 SS Convertible. It is red outside, red inside and has a white top. I am thinking about getting a convertible top boot but I do not know what color to get.

The Year One catalogue says that the boot should match the interior color and not the top color.

The Chevelle SS Restoration Guide, written by Paul Herd, says the boot matches the top's color.

Any suggestions?

The boot should match the interior. Once it's in place, you do not see the top. So why would it match the top?

I say red for 2 reasons (1)-white would stick out like a sore thumb (2)-white would probably get kind of dirty in certion areas JMO...

My Red 64 had a black top and Red Interior
and Red Body.. and the boot is RED graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have the original tonneau cover for my chevelle.....matches the interior.....
