Well, I finally bought that '67 SS convertible that I was looking for. smile.gif It came with some surprises, and now I'm making a list of things that need to be done.

The quarter (rear) windows don't work well and don't line up with the front windows as well as they should.

I suppose it is necessary to remove the inside panels, take the windows apart, and check the rollers and regulators. I found rollers in the NPD catalog, but does anyone sell the quarter window regulators? What else might I have to buy for this job?

The vertical quarter window weatherstrip - the one with the chrome strip, also needs to be replaced. The chrome seems in good condition -- is it necessary or recommended to replace the chrome and the rubber strip or just the rubber strip?

Thanks for your help!

I don't really have a lot of answers for you but if you haven't already you should get a 1967 Fisher Body Repair Manual. The manuals have a lot of info on adjustments and are an overall great starting point on any project you might tackle. I don't believe that anyone is making the convertible regulators but I could be wrong and I haven't gotten to weatherstripping on my project yet so hopefully a more knowledgable guy will chime in with more info for you. Good luck with the 'vert!

You can buy reproduction quarter window rubber. If you have a bad regulator you'll have to find used. Sloans, and True Connections are a good source. Convertible quarter window glass regulators are specific to convertibles. A hardtop quarter regulator won't work. You'll have to remove the rear seat, armrest cover, window crank and panel to get to the adjustments. It sounds like things are not adjusted right at all. That will cause alot of alignment, and binding problems.

NATJONES is right on the money about getting a Fisher Manual for your year. They have alot of valuable information.
