The frame on my 67 convt has been repaired several times and still needs some work, Is it possible to use a frame from a 66 chevelle 2dr hardtop under the 67 body? If so, what if any changes have to be made to the 66 frame,ie: frame supports etc, thanks alot

Trust me on this, there are a LOT of posts about this topic you can find using the search feature. I know because I had to replace the frame in my '66 convertible and did a lot of research on this site.

Bottom line, probably, is that your best bet is to find an El Camino frame. They're easier to find than a convertible, and the shortening you'll have to do behind the rear wheels is a helluva lot less intense than trying to box a coupe frame. Not exactly sure about the years that fit, maybe 64-67, but I know that other A-bodies will also work.

Hope this helps some, but do a search using '66 frame replace' and I bet a lot of stuff will come up.
