Does anyone have the specs for a 65 convertible frame? I would like to box in and convert a coupe frame to meet the specs of the convertible frame.

DJ, This is just my opinion but it might save you alot of time and $$ to find a '64-'67 elco frame and take the 2-3 inches out of it between the last two body mounts. That is unless you are going for all original.

DTell, I think you are right about going with an Elcamino frame. I have already acquired a coupe frame and have spent the resources to have it blasted, primed and painted. Since I am this far into it, it's probably best that I proceed with having it converted (probably should have done this before it was painted). Oh well, it's learn as you go. Thanks for the tip. I have a friend who is in the same situation that can benefit from your tip.

the coupe frame is the same in all measurements. the only difference is the large braces welded to the inside of the frame( under where the doors are).you can also use frames from 65-67 they are the same.tom
