There is a chrome headed screw on my 64 convertible that goes into the top of the door at the wind wing area. It helps adjust the forward window track. It's very long. I haven't found an oval counter sunk head screw that long. My car has been apart so long I've managed to loose both of them.

THen if it's a SCREW (counter sunk) the screw is located on the bottom of the cast vent window assembly @ the inside bottom visible edge, sitting on top of the door shell.
there availbe at most big hardware stores.
chrome philip head 1" long
What confused me was the your statement about "adjustment" the screw is just an anchoring point. The adjustment are done by the two through the door shell into the cast vent assembly fastners , the top 1/4 / NC 7/16 headed sholder bolt, doing the Front to rear adjustment and the lower sloted 1/4-20 NC stud/nut doing the tilt, fore and aft adjustment.
and the bottomg of the run chanel stud and nut doing the in and out adjustment...

WayneK. Your right it’s not an adjustment. It goes into the window channel to keep it from flexing. This screw hole is at the top of the door sill, just forward of the window channel that comes up to make one side of the wind wing frame. There is a tab on the window channel with a small threaded hole that the screw goes into.
The screw needs to be about 2" to 2 1/4" inches long. I have found counter sunk flat head screws but not oval head. There’s a big hardware store in Santa Ana, I’ll have to give them a try.
Thank Again.

I found the two screws I'm looking for in a complete screw interior kit at Dan Chucks, I think OPG has the same kit picture is not as good.
OPG has them. I bought the screw kit today and then found my old screws.
