: manual top clips

Does anyone know of a source for new manual top clips that hold the top down? These are the chrome "blades" that have a black plastic hook on one end and two holes on the other. They mount to the well covers and lock the top in place when folded down. Without them, it seems unlikely that I will ever get my top to fold down evenly or far enough to keep the boot secured.

Dan I looked to see if OPG or the Muscel Factory had them (NO). There is a guy at the Long Beach swap that has a lot of convertible hardware. I will look for them on the 13th.

I only have 1 that is incomplete and therefore not even installed on my car. I just moved, had a baby, and I'm probably starting a new job within a week or so. All of this, combined with the fact that I can't even find the dog-gone Tivo remote, means I will not be able to get a pic of it posted for some time. I'd appreciate it if someone else could post a pic if they have one.
(I'd actually like to see one that is complete anyway. Maybe then I could fabricate a new set.)
I would also be interested if the Long Beach guy has them. If nothing else could you please obtain contact information from him?

I figured I'd never find them, and my top would start rising as I went faster  so I got some 1/4" black ABS plastic, cut it into to 1"x approx. 6" strips, drilled mounting holes at the bottom end and heated and bent the top ends into hooks. They've been on the car for about 4 years now and work great. They're not original looking, but being black like everything else in the interior they tend to blend in.

Classic Industries ( Classic Industries Website (http://www.classicindustries.com)) sells clips for the 67-69 Camaro. I bet they are the same ones. The part number is KW169 and they sell for $23.95 a pair.

Also, I just received a 20% discount card from them. The code is SS604.

Thanks for the lead Theo, but these are quite different from the Chevelle parts. Too bad, cause I just ran to get my wallet!
