I am installing a new top on a 66 Chevelle and need to know what the measurment is for the last bow to the rear deck? Is there anyone who can help me? This one was removed three years ago and i have no idea of what the measurment is and i need to know that be for i can install the top. Any help any one can give would be great.

All I have is the measurement for a 65, but I'd bet they are the same. A body service manual would help you alot. Measure 19" to the right, and left of the "center" bow. There's a notch on it that indicates the center. Make 2 spacer sticks and place them at the 19' offset points to hold the rear bow (the one that flops around) 17 5/8" from the center bow. It can deviate + or - 1/4" after the rear curtain is tacked. Puting a convertible top on can be a daunting task if you don't have much experience. It could end up looking like crap. IMO I'd have it profesionaly installed. Good Luck smile.gif

Its a lengthy job,but it can be done.The factory manual has amazing info and pics..I've helped out doing 2..took about 5 hrs. each time.
