: Converting manual to power

I'd like to convert my manual top 66 chevelle convertible to a power top. It seems that there are plenty of mail-order parts available. (not like when I first started restoring these cars) My experience has always been with hardtops (not a lot of moving parts) And I thought it would be nice to add power.

Chiller...

WARNING: the actual top FRAMEs are different between manual and power tops. Therefore, you cannot just buy the pump and lift cylinders and convert yours to power... While the main frame is similar, the linkage is different (and some pieces are welded/non-removable).

I converted from manual to power, and thats what I saw when comparing the two setups(after being told they were different)...

These "frame" pieces required are not available new, but they should be the same for any 66-67 GM A-body (Mid-size) with a POWER top...
