I was just taking the interior out of my 72 Convert. I found a wiring harness under where the front seats are. One yellow/blk and one Wht/blk wire. one starts at drivers side the other at the far pass side and meet under the center of pass seat. They are not connected to anything now. I have non power buckets now, But this car should be a bench seat. Any idea on what these wires really are?

Power bench seat was an option that was available.

Did '72 start the seat belt warning buzzer? I know '73s had some feature that would buzz as long as thier was weight in the seat (created a ground via the seat springs), and the belt was not latched. Sounds to me like maybe this is what you are seeing?
