how do you put the rear chrome on a 67 chevelle ,was not on when i got it ,still has the molding clips in place ,but it almost looks as if the back window is to thick,had the window resealed awhile ago,but did not have them put the chrome on

You may want to have them install it. Chances are they did put too thick a 'kit' in to hold the window. It's possible, but tough to make the chrome fit that way. I've done it once but thought it was going to bust the back window as it was so tight.

The chrome should snap in place but I had to use a fiber stick and a rubber mallet to pursuade it at each point the clips were at.

again, might be worth a few bucks to let the shop do it. If they put the wrong thickness of butyl or tape kit it would need to come out. I *think* 5/16" is the thickness required.

It could also have the wrong clips.
