Recently finished putting in my new carpet and new white seats. Looked really good. Ran up what was left of my top getting ready to take it to the top shop when I heard the motor start freewheeling. Looked back and got to see my new "tranny fluid red" interior. The hose on the passenger side split and sprayed tranny fluid everywhere. It cleaned up okay but it still stinks like oil. Anyway, my question is are hoses sold by the repro companies okay or would I be better off going to an industrial shop and getting new lines made? I don't want this to happen ever again.

I had hoses made at a local supplier. I did it because of the rediculous cost of a reproduction set. It cost me $35 to have them made, and they are heavy duty. The only modification I had to make was cutting a notch in the cardboard pump cover because the fittings were larger.
